Nintendo released their latest PR statement, and it appears that hardware sales have improved overall 60%, year over year from 2014. Sales for both 3DS and Wii U increased by 80% and 20%, respectively. This is great news in terms of the 3DS, which is most assuredly due to the release of the New 3DS. However, this is a bit lackluster for Wii U sales; though, these numbers are understandable, since Nintendo hadn’t released many bigger titles for their home console outside of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse and Mario Party 10.
