Give me more: Smash Bros. getting quite a bit of new content

In case you missed the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS announcement video this morning, Masahiro Sakurai had a lot to reveal.

  • Roy and Lucas are back!
  • New Mii fighter costumes, including character from Mega Man series, Animal Crossing series, Virtua Fighter, and Tekken
  • New amiibo – including a swappable, multi-position Game & Watch! – coming this September
  • New stages coming: Dreamland stage from original Smash, Miiverse stage (Wii U only), Suzaku Castle (Ryu), and two more Smash 64 stages on the way
  • Ryu joins the fight!

If you would like to watch the video, you can do so below. I recommend checking it out, if for nothing but the move set attributed to the newcomer, Ryu. His looks to be more complex than most, he will have two Final Smashes, and will get his own stage (and music!) as well. All of the DLC spoken about in the video is available now; that is, if the eShop isn’t smashed by traffic!
